Dear Sudhir,

This morning the newspaper brought the result of your examination. I was very much shocked to find that your roll number was not in the list of successful candidates. It is really a very painful news to me as you were so sure of your success. It becomes more painful when your whole future career depended upon this result. My sympathies are with you in your hour of sadness.

 You should keep in mind that labour never goes waste. Failures are the pillars of success. Hence I hope you will not lose heart. Work harder and you will come out with flying colors next year.
